| 28/04/2008 - Next 3 games |
We must win our next 3 league games if we are to have any chance of hanging on to our outside chance of promotion.
It will be difficult but we are capable of 9 points.
If this was achievable this would leave the last 3 games against our promotion rivals and they are all 6 pointers.
Even at that we need our rivals to drop points to each other.
We welcome back Willie Rankine who has missed the last 3 games whilst on job experience, but Top Goalscorer Jamie Allison and Defender Craig Rodgers remain on the injury list.
The FOCUS must be on points , nothing else !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| 24/04/2008 - Pool Update |
Tony McWilliams has signed and will be in goal against Cumbernauld this Saturday . Willie Rankine is on a course and will be back on Monday but his back has been given him problems and we will assess when he returns.
Craig Rodgers , injured versus Irvine Vics still out and could be another week .
Similarly with Jamie Allson , served his 2 match ban but looks to be out injured for another week .
So for Saturday we have we have 14.
We have games Monday , Wed and next Sat so 4 games in 7 days will be a big ask for our small pool and we have yet to check work commitments for next week.
Special thanks to Fraser Loudon who has been helping us out |
|
| 01/04/2008 - West Tie CUMBERNAULD |
A bus will be run to the away tie at Cumbernauld only if it can be filled with supporters.
There are 22 places available so if you wish to reserve a place contact a commitee member asap |
|
| 17/03/2008 - New Signing |
Martin Graham ( midfield /defender ) has been snapped up from Cumnock.
The ex Troon and Ardeer player will be a valuable asset to the pool as we push on with our task of obtaining promotion and progressing in the 3 remaining cup competitions.
Stevie Morrison ( Ex Clark Drive ) has been released , work commitments prevent Stevie full attendance.
Paul Ottaway ( Ex Knockintiber )has apparantly sent in a 28 days release request to the s.f.a even although he has not informed anyone at the club of his desire to leave!
We are hence down to a pool of 16 |
|
| 03/03/2008 - Set Back |
The last two league result have been a huge setback in our task of winning the league and it is probably the runners up spot that can only now be targetted. We are 6 points off the pace for this and cant afford too many sli ups .
We have 10 games to play , 7 of which are at home and 4 against teams above us so its still in our own hands . We will however have to defend the way we have been prior to losing 4 on Saturday against Whitletts when we collapsed as a unit!!!
Our Goals against ratio is still good despite losing 7 in our last two games but we have to be more potent up front. Its a team game all departments have to contribute. Midfield could also be creating more oportunities
No point in looking back , we must win our next game , and get on a run if we are to make our mark. There are plenty of gamesinvolving our competitors where points will be dropped so we have to keep picking up points.

| 27/02/2008 - End of February update |
We are likely to switch this coming Saturdays league fixture ( Sat 1st March ) to Whitletts.
We have no fixture yet for 8th so it could be Glenafton again as they play in Scottish on 15th
Mark McKinnon has been released and we all wish him well and thank him for his efforts.
Paul Murphy is constant night shift and has difficulty training.
John Rae and Ewa Jamieson both still injured |
|
| 22/02/2008 - Glenafton |
Saturday 23rd Feb.
Tie once again swithed to GLENAFTON as Dalry unplayable.
John Rae likely to miss out with Hamstring problems , as is Ewan Jamieson , ankle .
Davy Prow also requires fitness test ankle.
Paul Ottaway available after suspension , and Jamie Allison back in full training |
|
| 11/02/2008 - HALF WAY |
We are 1/2 way through our league campaign and are still very much involved in the promotion chase with 26 points from our 12 games played. Although 8 of these games have been away from home we still have hard games to play away to Irvine Vics , Kello ,Whitletts and Girvan.
Saturday brings one of the promotion favourites to Merksworth , Hurlford who beat us away from home and we badly want revenge.
Saturdays win at Lugar was down to fitness and the will to win, we defended really well as Lugar had the majority of play but we had yet another shut out and got a late goal. We actually got stronger as the game went on and probably had as many chances as Lugar especially in the last 10minutes.
We were without Andy Tait , Kevin Crawford , Jamie Allison , and Paul Ottaway so we can only get stronger if wecan keep everyone fit and free of suspension.
With the weather improving we are hoping to get a run of home games. |
|
| 28/01/2008 - WEST tie ( 4th time lucky ) |
West tie cancelled for 3rd time with neither Merksworth or Loch Park playable for the last two dates.
WE will do our utmost to get Dalry playable for this outstanding tie. |
|
| 25/01/2008 - West of Scotland tie |
The SJFA have asked us to move tie tomorrow Saturday 25th to Glenafton as our park is doubtful . It seems that there are rules for some , still we have to get on with it.
Paul Ottoway , William Hutson , Jamie Allison and Andy Tait all miss out for one reason or another so we go minus 4 1st team regularsand with a very limited squad .
If you are a true DALRY suporter , " Bring yer boots , man " |
