Despite dominating possession, Dalry were beaten on the day.
The home side got off to the best possible start, before Dalry had time to settle.
After only 90 seconds a harmless looking ball, in the middle of the defence, should have been dealt with by Dalry, but Cairney was allowed time to get in a shot, and score from the edge of the box.
Dalry set about getting back into the game, and a curling shot from Darren Henderson went just wide.
Then a free kick, crossed in by Henderson, was volleyed wide my McKinnell.
Clydebank then doubled their lead in only 13 minutes. Hailstones was given a yard too much space at the near post to attack a cross, and volleyed into the net from only a couple of yards.
Dalry were stiil having the bulk of the possession. However the game really turned inside a few seconds just after the half hour.
A Henderson cross was headed off the upright by Sanderson, and Clydebank went straight to the other end and scored a third.
A deep cross to the far post was headed back across goal and Smith was on hand 6 yards out to score.
Before half time McCormack headed over from a Henderson cross.
It seemed hard to believe that with so much of the play, Dalry were three down at half time.
Whatever was said in the dressingroom worked, as Dalry toom only 33 seconds of the second half to score.
Richard Hay picked his spot from the right hand corner of the box, and Dalry saw some hope of a way back into this game.
However on 58 minutes Ward had to be alert to touch a shot over the bar for a corner.
On the hour, sub Cusack sent a free kick well over the bar, and had to put up with some good natured banter from the home fans for the rest of the match.
In probably the best move of the match, Barry Fleeting used his pace on the left and sent in a deep cross which ended with a Potts shot being well saved.
A corner for Dalry, flicked on, was headed over by McCormack, which was his last action, as Dalry gambled to try and get something from the game.
O'Malley crossed from a short corner and Henderson headed wide.
Deep into time added, a Potts sot was beaten away by the keeper, and the clearance rebounded off Cusack, but went wide.
So, once again, Dalry more than held their own, dominated the game for long periods, but were left without the points
