Dalry make hard work of Scottish win

Dalry edged into the 3rd round in this tie, which was moved to Portland Park, Troon.

And what a start Dalry made. In the first few seconds a low cross from Andy Bell, was met by Barry Fleeting, whose shot went over.
Then with 1 minute 40 seconds on the clock, Dalry took the lead.
James Canning cut into the right hand corner of the box and sent a low shot into the corner of the net.
For the first 10 minutes it looked as though Dalry would totally overwhelm their north visitors.

However on the 10 minute mark the visitors levelled. Fleeting was guilty of a foul 25 yards out and up stepped full back Jamie Clark to sent the free kick into the top corner of the net.

This made it a much more even game as Buckanhaven took confidence from the goal.

However all the chances were being created by Dalry, the best when Fleeting went on a run on the left and sent a cross which Andy Bell sent over.

Buckanhaven did have chance on 24 minutes when Ward did well to turn a shot from Scott Barbour round the post for a corner.
Dalry replied with a McKinnell shot which went over the top.

Dalry were back in control and chances came and went from whose turn and shot was saved; a snap shot from Fleeting from Fleeting which the keeper fumbled before collecting, and a further shot from Canning

On half time Dalry were given a scare when they conceded another free kick 25 yards out. The shot from Marchi was saved by Ward at the expense of a corner.

With just 25 seconds of the second half played Neil Sanderson was clean through and should really have buried it, but just couldn't get his shot away.
Then Fleeting, who was causing all sorts of problems forthe full back crossed low and hard and somehow from just 6 yards out Potts put a shot over the bar.
Cammy McKinnell sent a header from a corner over.

Then in 60 minutes Dalry got the lead they deserved.
Once again it was Fleeting on the left who crossed, Sanderson got the touch, which the keeper palmed away and it was Andy Bell who followed up to score at the back post.

Just after this Fleeting headed wide.
With 15 minutes left Dalry took off Bell and Fleeting and sent on Strain and Cusack, and it was Cusack who was straight into the action with a shot which the keeper saved.
A further change saw Canning replaced by Duncan.
It was Cusack again who caused worries in the visiting defence with a fierce shot from wide right.

In time added and with Buckanhaven committing players forward Dalry broke and for a moment it was four against one. Somehow in the resulting scramble the assistant flagged for offside.
Final score Dalry 2, Buckanhaven 1
