For the first half hour of this game there was only one team in the match. Dalry looked totally in control and were comfortable at two goals up.
After oly 45 seconds Neil Sanerson got in behind the defence and saw his shot from the edge of the box turned round the post by the keeper.
From the corner captain Jason Stewart sent a shot over the bar.
It was as early as the 4th minute that Dalry took the lead.
A fine run down te left by Barry Fleeting saw him send in a cross and it was met by a diving header by Tony McCormack and the ball was in the corner of the net.
In 13 minutes it was 2 - 0. A ball forward to Neil Sanderson saw him turn his defender and crash a shot into the top corner of the net.
The only danger from the visitors inside the first half hour was a couple of long range shots.
However in 33 minutes McFarlane met a cross and sent a header wide.
On 34 minutes Neilston pulled one back. The ball was crossed to the far post and Bonner was given too much space to send a header into the net.
This gave the visitors a boost and suddenly Dalry had a game on their hands.
Just as it looked like they would weather the storm until the break, the visitors drew level.
It was a bit of a horror show. The ball found its way to the bye line, but Dalry looked to have enough cover to deal with any danger. It looed as though nobody took charge and suddenly the ball was across the face of the goal and was left with a simple tap in.
It was easy to imagine the roasting that Dalry got from Manager John Garroch at the break. To have looked so comfortable and yet go in at halftime level was almost unbelievable.
However, it took Dalry only 90 seconds of the second half to retake the lead.
The damage was done by Barry Fleeting who got in at the far post and shot low into the net.
On 59 minutes Neilston came close when sub Armour shot across the face of the goal and Ryan Ward touched it for a corner.
The second half was a much closer affair with both teams aware of he importance of a win.
Dalry were always slightly ahead on pressure and looked the more fluent side.
However it was Neilston who almost had the last say when in the last couple of minutes it took a great tackle from sub Cammy McKinnell to deny Cameron who looked to have the goal at his mercy some 12 yards out.
After what looked like a comfortable first third of the game it was a sense of relief that greeted the final whistle and a valuable 3 points for Dalry.
